 For a long-term project at one of our clients’ sites in Darmstadt (Germany), we are currently looking for:

System Engineers (m/f/d) 
Sector: Space – Data Processing Systems 

Your tasks 
  • You support your team in all tasks related to data processing engineering. Those tasks include e.g.: 
    • Technical baseline engineering monitoring and update. 
    • Review of delivered data packs. 
    • Test and acceptance phase preparation 
    • Participation in internal and supplier reviews of different versions of ground segments.
  • In trainings, you will share your in data processing engineering with your team and other parties involved in the projects.
  • You contribute to raising, processing and coordinating RIDs (Review Item Discrepancy) in the documentation.
  • Furthermore, you will perform requirements engineering in DOORS for related data processing requirements. This includes review, specification and refinement of existing requirements, their up-traces to parent specifications, justifications and verification methods.
Your qualifications 
  • University degree in System Engineering or a related field. 
  • At least 3 years of experience in preparation of requirements, design, interfaces and testing documentation for data processing systems (preferably in project with high data rates). 
  • Experience with L1/L2 processing software for Earth Observation missions. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements engineering process, including relation between requirements, ICDs, design and testing documentation. 
  • Demonstrated experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems. 
  • High command of English. 
Expected starting date: 01.10.2019

This is a full time position and you will get a permanent employment contract!
