Plant manager (m/f/d), DE/EN, food/FMCG industry, near Düsseldorf

What to expect

• Management and organization of the production site: You manage all the production related departments (manufacturing, maintenance, methods, logistics) and resources on site (human, financial, technical) in order to achieve manufacturing and/or operational goals.
• Optimization of the production site through effective project management: You restructure and optimize the existing processes for more efficiency. Your goal is to further develop the market share on the German market and to support sales through efficient production processes. 
• Responsibility for the implementation of the company’s strategic orientation and corporate guidelines. You also ensure a smooth production process and a continuous improvement culture.
• People management: You manage the work council, coordinate the activities of the different departments and people coaching actions. You ensure a pleasant and motivating working environment. 
• Financial responsibility: You analyse the production structures and optimize the production processes in order to increase productivity (costs, quality, delays, OEE). You also define new manufacturing processes and technologies and are responsible for initiating investments up to the approval stage. 
• Plant security: You carry out quality audits and guarantee best use of the provided resources. You define and implement operational safety rules and introduce a safety-conscious work culture while ensuring that manufacturing complies with regulatory standards.  
• Internal and external key role: You represent the company on site and are the direct link between internal organisations (staff representatives, trade unions, etc.) and external stakeholders (local authorities, etc.)

Your qualifications 

• extensive professional experience in a similar position or in the position of production director/technical director 
• proven experience in the food/FMCG industry and ideally very good knowledge in the field of process engineering
• several years of experience in management and good knowledge in the fields of quality standards and food production
• core competencies in the fields of process management, process optimization, efficiency improvement, Lean management and P&L
• You have an excellent command of German and English. French is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, natural leadership, hands-on mentality, good understanding of numbers and intercultural openness
• Self-confidence, excellent communication skills, motivation for success, commitment, enthusiasm

• Permanent German work contract in full-time, to be filled in North Rhine-Westphalia (Düsseldorf, Duisburg) as soon as possible.
• Salary package according to the profile (fix + variable)
