Your new challenge:
As Business Partner and Director of Finance (m/f/x) you will lead a team of 7 people and report to the CFO. You will take a critical position in managing and monitoring operations and will be responsible for:
- Proactively developing financial tools to evaluate site and business performance. This includes implementing processes, statistics, dashboards, tools and infrastructure to drive efficiency, productivity and growth.
- Control and cost accounting, customer/product profitability analysis and participation in management reviews.
- Prepare reports for the Group Business Committee.
- Assist managers in preparing and monitoring their annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Preparation of reports for the Group Business Committee as well as monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, profitability and financial management reports are also part of the responsibilities, including tracking capital and R&D expenditure.
- Other duties include preparing and recording journal entries, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensuring proper record keeping and appropriate credit worthiness of suppliers.
- Lead site performance reviews, transactions such as bank transfers and currency conversion, and the preparation of tax reports, external audit procedures and internal controls.
- Provide required financial information to banking institutions and other creditors.
- Management in line with company standards, including performance appraisal, review and remuneration, and recruit new staff as required.
Your profile:
- University degree in business administration and at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in various areas of accounting.
- Languages: Very good written and spoken German and English
- Initial management experience, as well as leadership and team management skills
- Independent working style, high sense of responsibility, flexibility and very good analytical skills
- Mastery of cost accounting and customer profitability analysis
- Analysis and interpretation skills of operating and accounting data to explain variances and trends related to prior periods, budgets and forecasts
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of ERP systems, finance reporting tools and IFRS standards.
