Business Development Manager International (m/f/d), FR/EN, Power Electronics, Lyon or Angers
Your responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager you will be laying the foundations for the successful development of new markets (Europe, USA and Asia).
You will work closely with colleagues who have different roles, especially the Product Line VP and the Operation Management, to develop and achieve the operating budget of the product line.
Business Strategy : You develop and implement the right business strategy for each group of products, aligning it with the company's goals and resources. You implement a value pricing strategy, ensure a competitive positioning of projects and quotes, analyse profit/loss of projects and draw the appropriate conclusions for a continuous improvement of the sales targets and objectives. You are in charge of creating business cases for new opportunities, including revenue, return of investment, payback and growth.
Management and Coordination of the Sales expansion : You ensure the right communication and appropriate market positioning of the products, you interact with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality Management departments and define the most important decision-makers, champions, influencers and gatekeepers. You are the direct contact for all major key accounts and are responsible for the Customer Care team (8 people) based in Germany.
Key role between the company & the customers : You participate in relevant trade shows to increase the company's visibility and find new business opportunities. You occupy a strategic role as the company's international ambassador. Together with the sales and product teams, you also organize training courses, workshops and meetings for customers, always with the goal of generating new sales.
Continuous improvement : You participate in technical and quality reviews to ensure that new business proposals meet or exceed customer specifications and requirements. You analyze existing customer and market requirements and identify future customer needs at an early stage to ensure that their projects and products stay competitive.
What is expected from you
To succeed in this role, you will bring following qualifications :
Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.
Professional background : worldwide work experience of 7 to 10 years in the field of business development working with the OEM / Distribution Channels.
Strong technical abilities and knowledge : You have a good understanding of power conversion systems and a good knowledge of the product development cycle, from conception to prototype to production.
Sales specialist : You are articulate, credible and you have excellent communication skills. You are as good at finding new strategic customers and business opportunities as you are at maintaining long-term commercial and technical relationships with the engineering and purchasing departments of key accounts.
Languages : You speak English and French fluently.
