The Academy of European Law Trier (ERA) is the leading partner of the European institutions, national administrations and professional associations in the field of continuing education in European law. With the support of the European Union, our team including fifteen lawyers from different European Union member states devises and organises some one hundred conferences and training courses each year in many different venues across Europe.

The Director of Programmes is the head of the programme department consisting of 25 legal and assistant staff to which s/he provides strategic direction in terms of the development and implementation of ERA’s annual programme and of new programme concepts, training structures and education tools (in particular e-learning).

Her/ His responsibilities include the acquisition of training projects at European and national level as well as preparing and monitoring tenders for projects financed by EU programmes. S/He reports to the Director of ERA and as a member of the Management Team will formally represent the institute.

You have several years of professional experience in teaching and/or applying European Union law as a judge or prosecutor, lawyer in private or administrative practice, business, education, the European institutions or associations.

You have an analytical mind and excellent networking and communication skills. You are fluent in English and at least either French or German; further language skills will be beneficial.
