Business France est l’agence nationale chargée du développement international des entreprises françaises. Elle gère et développe le V.I.E (Volontariat International en Entreprise).

Le Volontariat International est ouvert aux 18 à 28 ans ressortissants de l’Union Européenne, pour des missions allant de 6 à 24 mois à l’étranger.

Le V.I.E est un véritable tremplin pour démarrer une carrière à l’international.

Established in 1945, Genia is the French leading manufacturer of equipment for animal health professionals (veterinarians, breeders, pharmaceuticals companies). Our company manufactures and distributes a wide range of products including syringes, needles, e-collars, bandages, suture material, and many others. 

The company employs +60 people in France and generated in 2021 a turnover of 18 million EUR: 35% is made outside France in 70 countries, including Germany, one of the main European markets for the company. 
In 2019 we already hired a German sales representative in Nordrhein-Westfalen. This gave us a solid experience about all aspects of the veterinary equipment business in Germany and helped us promoting and selling our products, by visiting veterinary clinics within this country. 

Our commercial development project in Germany has taken a new dimension this year with the recruitment of a sales manager, and the creation of a dedicated legal structure (GmbH). 
We now aim to strengthen our sales team with the recruitment of a new sales delegate based in Berlin and mobile throughout northern Germany. 

Position and assignments : 

The position will involve account management of existing and potential new customers in Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden, and Leipzig region. The sales representative will visit 5 veterinary clinics per day to increase the direct sales as well as building and maintaining client relationships. 
The role requires extensive travel, overnight stays, a strong work ethic with organizational and recording skills. 

Duties and responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Promotion and sale of products: actively promoting the Company's products and services via direct sales calls on existing customers, prospecting new customers, and by identifying other sales opportunities. 
  • Follow up after sales to ensure high levels of support and customer satisfaction 
  • Planning and Organizing 
  • Develop effective territory plan and organize sales activities by making appointments each Monday for the following week, planning weekly objectives, prioritizing, and classifying customers. 
  • Sales administration, including updating our CRM database 
  • Attend trade shows and other educational commitments as required We offer the selected candidate a thorough, secure and supervised integration process. 

In detail :

  • Training at the company's headquarters (presentation of all departments, employees, training in the use of IT tools: CRM, etc.) 
  • Extensive product and catalog training, given by a qualified veterinarian 
  • Field approach in France with an experienced sales delegate (acquisition of the sales pitch in French) 
  • Departure to Germany with a full week at your disposal to settle the last details of the installation in the country 
  • One week of dual visits (observation visits) in NRW with our most experienced local delegates, in order to learn the technical vocabulary in German but also the specificities of commercial meetings with German veterinary clinics 
  • First week of customer/prospect visits accompanied by the sales team manager 
  • Once on site, you will be a full member of the team and will participate in all weekly meetings with the German sales manager, the sales administration manager for the German market and of course the delegates already on site. 
Possibility to be hired on a local contract at the end of the mission and depending on the results obtained during the V.I.E 

Finally, in addition to the monthly allowance, we offer financial assistance for housing, the amount of which may be re-evaluated upon renewal of the VIE contract.

Profile :

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude 
  • Commercial understanding and dynamism - Passionate and autonomous 
  • Willingness to travel (frequent overnight stays) 
  • Ability to implement and execute sales strategies 
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to the provision of high-quality customer service 
  • Previous sales experience is a plus 
  • Excellent skills in German language are required / English and French are a plus. 
  • Driving licence needed 
  • One year mission, renewable for one more year.
