Job description / Tasks:
  • Contribution to the strategic and operational development of the research field thermochemical conversion of carbonaceous feedstocks. The research focus is on the target molecules H2, CO2 and CO
  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams, execution and management of internal and external research projects 
  • Evaluation of thermochemical processes and systems as well as their application and demonstration
  • Ensure scale up of new concepts through design of pilot units as well as evaluation of experimental data
  • Ensuring a close cooperation with internal and external customers, academics and start-ups accompanies the innovative growth of the working area 
Competencies:
  • Masters degree in chemical/process engineering or technical chemistry (preferred with PhD)
  • In depth experience in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, reaction engineering or comparable subject areas 
  • Very good analytical and strategic competencies 
  • High level of self-initiative as well as creativity for new solutions and open mind-set 
  • Preferably first experiences as project engineer or project manager 
  • Strong communication abilities and enjoying to work in heterogeneous teams
