AL in Germany with 4.500 employees, serves and supplies 100.000 customers and has 50 sites in Germany. AL Deutschland GmbH with its headquarter in Düsseldorf.

Sales Team: The current sales and BD team is organized per account and consists of 7 members, managing a size of ~100 mio Eur revenue, the priorities in the near term of the sales team are developing our business strategies, price management and portfolio management.
Reporting line of Sales Director, to MD ALE

Mission description 

Support Director Sales and Business Development to optimize the sales and supply chain process, and its governance, including establishing sales and BD database, improving forecasting process, harmonizing workflows, tools and methods, developing business strategies, support on preparation of internal reporting and admin tasks.

Main contributions                                                                                                                                    

  • Support on optimization of sales and BD process, tools and methods   30%
  • Support the Director Sales and BD to examine the existing sales and BD process, identify pain points and areas for improvement, design new workflows, tools and methods
  • Establish internal database to capture sales and BD projects and opportunities, based on monthly report to be created to provide overview on ongoing and future prospects
  • Harmonize the various existing tools including template for quotations, tools for bid or no bid decision
  • Support on business strategy development and commercial tasks  40%
  • support the Director Sales and BD to develop customer and product strategies
  • Lead defined workstreams on implementation of strategies
  • Coordinate with the account managers to create customer position paper which should summarize our existing business with each customer, P/L analysis, future opportunities, evaluation of risks and challenges, resource and competence assessment, strategic recommendations
  • support on commercial offer preparations
  • Continuous improvement on supply chain   30%
  • Supply volume tracking and trend analysis
  • Support demand forecasting and supply planning
  • Support on preparing product requests to filling centers

Candidate education 

  • Business Administration, Finance and Economics
  • English level 1 (excellent command of written and spoken)

Candidate profile

  • strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel,  Google) and common data analysis methods
  • Self-confidence and Assertiveness
  • Ability to work independently, a good team player

Additional information

Position based in Ottendorf-Okrilla, Germany for an initial period of 24 months.  

REMUNERATION MENSUELLE : 2199 € (indemnité non contractuelle fixée par décret et arrêté, dont le montant peut varier notamment en fonction de l’évolution du barème de référence, de la localisation de la mission et des cas d’abattements prévus par les textes)
