Join us as an STM Sales Associate
- This is a great opportunity for a driven Associate to join NatWest Markets NV’s Short-Term Markets (STM) Sales team, helping deliver Money Market solutions to our EU institutional and corporate clients
- You’ll play a key role in growing NatWest Markets NV’s Money Market franchise, driving higher CP/CDs, deposits, bills and IRS volumes
- You’ll also support short-term funding for NatWest Markets Plc/NV and wider Group entities, building core technical skills and developing the confidence to navigate fast-moving markets and diverse client needs
What you'll do
You’ll build strong relationships across a wide range of customers, representing the STM NatWest Markets proposition with confidence and clarity. In a market that never sits still, you’ll track shifting dynamics and juggle multiple variables at once.
You’ll stay closely connected to clients through calls, messages and online channels, sharing timely insights that help drive trading opportunities. By feeding market colour back to the desk, you’ll play a key role in generating transactions and deepening client engagement.
You’ll also be:
- Using your expertise in private placements, EMTNs and club deals to help strengthen NatWest Markets’ DCM league table position and support continued commercial growth
- Working closely with our operations teams to ensure sensitive client transactions settle on time and without friction, safeguarding a first-class client experience
- Creating clear, timely market insights and commentary that feed into CCI publications
- Acting as a dependable partner to your teammates, stepping in to support their client relationships
The skills you'll need
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re naturally attentive to detail, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and eager to engage with customers and colleagues across every level. Your ability to build rapport quickly, communicate with clarity, and spot opportunities will help you strengthen client relationships and contribute to our team’s sales activity. You’ll also bring your experience with working across multiple areas of the bank, supporting funding, liquidity and execution while applying a solid understanding of bank funding and financing.
Fluency in French and English is essential, and an additional language such as German, Dutch, Italian or Spanish will help you connect with an even wider client base. A solid understanding of STM products, the drivers behind them, and experience within a banking FI product area will also help you operate comfortably across our front-office systems and related processes.
You’ll also need:
- A strong track record working with EU money market funds, private banks and corporate portfolio managers, particularly across FraBelux, the Netherlands and GAS markets, selling CP/CDs, deposits, short-term EMTNs and bonds, IRS and repo
- A solid grasp of short-term markets products and awareness of upcoming MMF reforms
- Numeracy and analytical strength, ideally supported by Excel expertise, and familiarity with front-office systems, with VBA or Python capability as a plus a personable, collaborative working style, enabling you to engage effectively with colleagues and customers and contribute positively to team performance
