Introduction:

To further strengthen our team in Luxembourg, we are currently seeking to appoint a German speaking Account Manager-Captive Management

Aon Insurance Managers is one of the largest Captive Manager in the world operating in all major captive domiciles including Guernsey, Ireland, Luxembourg, Italy, Bermuda and Switzerland.

Our wide-ranging business activities are focused on insurance/reinsurance management and, in close cooperation with our sister company AGRC, risk finance consulting services.

What the day will look like:

The Account Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of clients, ensuring that the client needs are met, working with team members to ensure the clients’ companies under management remain in compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • manage clients’ day-to-day operations and serve as their primary point of contact,
  • lead all aspects of clients’ financial reporting, ensuring delivery to strict deadlines, as well as overseeing budgets and forecasts,
  • coordinate and complete statutory audits,
  • prepare and present materials for client board meetings, take notes, and draft minutes,
  • prepare tax and VAT returns,
  • liaise with senior executives of major global corporations and insurance supervisors.

How this opportunity is different

As an Account Manager, you will lead client services across a broad range of disciplines, including financial reporting, compliance, insurance, and reinsurance, with the support and guidance of members of the local reinsurance leadership team. You will work directly with senior executives from leading international companies, as well as with internal and external auditors, actuaries, and investment managers.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

We are looking for an ambitious professional with:

  • a solid knowledge of accounting and strong numerical skills; bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience is essential,
  • fluency in German, English, and French,
  • Organized and able to multi-task with ability to effectively prioritize tasks as needed,
  • Consistent track record of increasing efficiency and improving methods and approaches,
  • Detail oriented and ability to understand and drive big picture recommendations,
  • a collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a multinational environment,
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite,
  • Previous experience in the (re)insurance industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
