The Clinical Research Department of the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine in Hamburg is looking as soon as possible for a highly motivated
for the monitoring of clinical drug trials in sub-Saharan Africa
The Clinical Research Department is looking for a highly motivated clinical monitor (CRA) to support the team in the monitoring of clinical drug and vaccine trials in English and French-speaking countries in sub-Saharan Africa. As part of the monitoring activities, the CRA travels to African partner sites to monitor academic and regulatory clinical trials and to ensure high quality of study conduct and data. Travel requirements include travels to places with security threats like Nigeria or Ethiopia. The CRA is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of QM measures and will accompany the sites through all steps of a clinical trial including trial preparation, site initiation, interim monitoring activities and close out. The CRA needs to ensure trial conduct in accordance with applicable rules and regulations, GCP and the study protocol. He/ she will prepare monitoring reports and keep the project management team at BNITM, sponsors and other stakeholders up to date.
Starting date will be as soon as possible. This is a full-time position initially limited to two years with the possibility of extension, remunerated in accordance with the provisions for the public sector in remuneration group 11 of the TV-AVH collective agreement (collective agreement of the Hamburg Labour Law Association).
